Welcome to the University of Michigan, Department of Psychiatry Women’s Mental Health Program (WMH). Our program consists of interdisciplinary clinical research, outpatient clinical care, and multidisciplinary training / education and outreach focused on mental health in women. All of these activities are inter-related in our overall mission to improve understanding, interventions and outcomes for women and their families. The Perinatal Mood Disorders team is a multidisciplinary, specialty team within Ambulatory Psychiatry that provides a range of clinical services for women with mood and related disorders around the time of childbearing.
The Women’s Mental Health Program was developed out of a research focus on improving understanding of Mood Disorders in women throughout the lifespan.
