Trauma and Grief (TAG) Clinic for Youth

The Trauma and Grief ( TAG) Clinic for Youth within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Program has the primary missions of raising the standard of care and increasing access to best practice care for traumatized and grieving youth and caregivers. We provide training in trauma- and grief-informed assessment and treatment, and implement and evaluate evidence-based treatments for traumatized and/or grieving youth, both at U-M and within the surrounding community.

The TAG Clinic, which is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is also a designated Community Treatment and Services Center of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, providing cross-site collaborative activities and national recognition for our best practices trauma and grief work. The TAG Clinic is led by Julie Kaplow, Ph.D., as director, and Cheryl King, Ph.D., and Kate Rosenblum, Ph.D., as co-directors.
