Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System (AAVAHS)
Since 1953, the AAVAHS has provided state-of-the-art healthcare services to the men and women who have so proudly served our nation. Nearly 57,000 Veterans living in a 15-county area of Michigan and northwest Ohio utilized the AAVAHS in fiscal year 2011. The main hospital campus located in Ann Arbor serves as a referral center for specialty care and operates 105 acute care beds and 40 Community Living Center (extended care) beds. In addition to the main facility in Ann Arbor, the AAVAHS offer services in three community-based outpatient clinics. These clinics are located in Flint, Michigan, Jackson, Michigan, and Toledo, Ohio. Potential residents applying to the VA part of the training network must be US citizens.
