Postdoctoral Training Program in Psychology

How to Apply

Application deadlines vary with the particular program and for further information including interview arrangements and supplemental information, please see the descriptions of the individual residency positions available for the Clinical Neuropsychology Consortium, the Clinical Adult Psychology Consortium, and the Clinical Child Psychology Program. The training network application form can be downloaded.

For queries about the program that are not answered on the web page, contact Pamela LaForest, the Psychology Postdoctoral Residency coordinator (pamelala@med.umich.edu or 734-936-9283).

Residents can start either on or around July 1, 2013 or September 1, 2013 (the former has the advantage of being the same date as the arrival of Psychiatry Residents but the latter is often necessary if residents are finishing an internship in August). Applicants with the highest ranking have been those who show the most promise in terms of the scientist/practitioner goals of the training program. This means that both research and clinical experiences are important. We especially invite and encourage applications from members of ethnic and racial minority groups. The University of Michigan and Veterans Administration are non-discriminatory/affirmative action employers.
