Interim Chair, Dr. Gregory DalackAs of September 1, 2007, Dr. Gregory Dalack will serve as Interim Chair of the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Dalack joined the faculty of the U-M Medical School in 1992, serving as Chief of the Mental Health Clinic at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System until 1999, then as Chief of the VA Psychiatry Service and VA Section Director in the Department of Psychiatry until 2005 when he became Associate Chair for Education and Academic Affairs.  From 2006 until his appointment as Interim Chair, he also served as Vice-Chair of the Department.  Dr. Dalack received his M.D. from Columbia University, and completed his Psychiatry Residency and a Clinical Research Fellowship at the New York State Psychiatric Institute in New York.  His areas of clinical interest include schizophrenia and mood disorders; his research interests include the treatment of schizophrenic illness and the co-morbidity of nicotine addiction and schizophrenia.
